I've wanted a driving wheel for playing Gran Turismo for a while. Then: a three day weekend staring me in the face, and I just read one too many posts online about how big a difference it makes, so I sprung.

My first idea for how to use it (you're supposed to clamp it to a table, but I don't have one the right height near the TV), a free board bungee'd down to the recliner, failed by reducing mobility for using the pedals too much.

So I grabbed the spare bits of wood I still had around, picked up an extra C clamp and some screws, and threw together my own driving seat. Way cheaper than the commercial solutions ($300 minimum http://www.google.com/search?q=playseat&tbm=shop not to mention the space consumed).
